Lead Electrical Foreman


Job Description:

Lead Electrical Foreman position is responsible for management of site teams consisting of industrial electricians, maintenance electricians, PLC programmers, and/or commissioning specialists. Foremen would need to be proficient in all areas of the NEC, and devices/components ranging from; VFDs, PLCs, HMI devices, drives, high-voltage industrial equipment, cable tray and industrial motors. Other responsibilities include site planning & scheduling, site resource allocation, inventory control and accounting all while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality & safety standards.

  • Oversee the construction component from site identification to site turnover
  • Perform site planning, inventory control, and complying with quality & safety standards
  • Assist in the customer’s site approval process
  • Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project
  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and participate on regular status meetings
  • Manage, continuously, quality control, site deadlines and safety procedures
  • Ability to travel and work varied hours (Travel 90%-100%)
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationships with customers, vendors, and contractors on site

Education and Experience:

  • A four-year Bachelor’s degree – degree in construction management is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial / industrial electrical construction as a foremen
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes (NEC)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Leadership and excellent communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge safety standards is essential
  • Extensive experience with installation of cable tray systems for power distribution
  • Extensive experience with Motor Controls, Control Wiring and PLC for industrial machinery
  • The ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Able to operate equipment like fork lift, scissor lift etc.
  • Clean driving record
  • Able to train other personnel
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen


Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and how it supports related operations. Demonstrates understanding and application of approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.

Primarily intra-organizational contacts and external contacts.
